Finsbury Park rooms that suit fitted joinery
Finsbury Park sits where Islington, Hackney and Haringey meet, and its housing is largely Victorian — bay-fronted terraces along Tollington Park and Mount View Road, and substantial red-brick mansion blocks near the station and the park itself. A lot of these houses were split into flats or HMOs and are now being brought back to family use, which drives much of the joinery we do here.

A typical N4 terrace bedroom is 3–3.5m wide with a chimney breast on one wall; we build wardrobes into the alcove and along the adjacent wall, scribing to the out-of-square walls that decades of settlement leave behind, and keeping fronts simple and painted.
Alcove units and shelving. The reception rooms keep their chimney breasts and alcoves, and we fit these as base cupboards with bookshelves above, sized to the picture rail. In mansion-block flats, the same approach suits the tall, well-proportioned rooms those blocks are known for.
Compact and home-office joinery. Flats and upper floors often lack a spare room, so we build shallow desks, shelving and storage into alcoves, landings and bedroom corners — pieces that add function without crowding a modest room.
Access and parking near the park
Streets close to Finsbury Park and the station are dense and parking is tight, and mansion-block flats can mean stairs with no lift. We plan the carry-in route at survey and split larger pieces into sections that pass the turns. Islington, Hackney and Haringey all operate controlled parking zones around N4, so a visitor permit is usually needed for install days — we’ll flag which borough applies and when to arrange it.
