Snaresbrook rooms we usually measure
Snaresbrook sits between Wanstead and South Woodford, with a lot of Edwardian and inter-war houses that have wider rooms than the tighter Victorian terraces further south. The joinery briefs are often more substantial: long bedroom wardrobe runs, dressing-room storage in spare rooms, entrance-hall cupboards and alcove units in front reception rooms.
Bedroom wardrobes and dressing rooms. The larger houses around Hollybush Hill and Snaresbrook Road often have enough wall length for full-height wardrobes with drawers, hanging, shoe storage and a vanity section in the same run. In smaller spare rooms, the brief is often to turn the room into a walk-in dressing space.
Alcove and front-room storage. Period front rooms around Snaresbrook often keep the chimney breast, which leaves the usual uneven alcoves either side. We build these as painted cupboards and shelving, usually scribed to original skirting and picture rail rather than cutting the old detail away.
Hallway cupboards. Wider entrance halls make Snaresbrook a good fit for shallow coat, shoe and utility storage. A 250-300mm-deep run can add useful storage without narrowing the hall too much.
