Bespoke joinery in Bow (E3)

Bow projects are usually Victorian terrace and maisonette work: alcove units, fitted wardrobes, hallway storage and media walls for rooms where standard furniture leaves gaps or wastes wall height.

Local questions

Joinery in Bow: what people ask

The walls in our Bow terrace bow and lean — will a fitted wardrobe still look right?
That's normal in Victorian Bow terraces that have settled over 130 years. We template the actual wall on site rather than working from a rectangle on a drawing, then scribe the panels and fillers so the doors line up and close cleanly even when the wall behind them isn't plumb.
Can you build alcove units around an original cast-iron fireplace?
Yes — a lot of Bow front rooms keep the original fireplace and cornice, so we design alcove cupboards and shelving to sit either side without touching the chimney breast, keeping the fireplace as the focal point and matching shelf lines to the mantel height.
What about parking and access off the Roman Road?
The streets around Roman Road and Old Ford can be tight, and Tower Hamlets operates controlled parking across much of Bow, so a visitor permit is usually needed on install days. We check the access route and flag when to arrange the permit.
